Adult 6 Hour Driver’s Ed Course

  • Course is 6 hours in length
  • Course fee – $40.00
  • Pause & resume at will
  • Print two copies of your ADE-1317 certificate upon completion of the course (certificate is valid for 2 years) You will need one copy for your learner’s license and one copy for your road test.
  • Visit a Lucas Driving school location to enroll for in-car lessons

Enrolling for the Adult 6 hour Course

  • Once you enroll and we have processed your order you will receive a text from DSNT with a link and instructions.
  • You have 3 months to complete the 6 hour online course.
  • Upon successful completion of the 6 hour course the ADE-1317 Certificate will be available to print.
  • A full refund will be issued to students who have not started the online course and if the course is not expired (90 days.)
  • An administrative processing fee of $50.00 will apply to all other refund requests.
  • Refunds will be processed within 30 days after receipt of refund notification.

Steps

Steps for ​​ obtaining a driver’s license for Adults

01.

Take the 6 hour Adult Online Course.

02.

Print two copies of the ADE-1317 certificate after completing the course.

03.

Make an appointment with DPS for a First Time Drivers License. www.dps.texas.gov

04.

Take the ADE-1317 certificate, a Certified Birth Certificate, Original Social Security Card and two bills in your name as proof of residency.

05.

Once you have your Restricted Drivers License, you can enroll for driving lessons.

06.
